Plein Air Painting Workshop with Jerrod Partridge

Join artist Jerrod Partridge for a day long plein air painting workshop. Begin at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art and end with a group discussion and critique of the day's work. Schedule

8:30am-10am - Set up, intro, and discussion at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art

10am-12pm - Paint

12-1pm Lunch break (Lunch will not be provided, but downtown Ocean Springs has an abundance of restuarants in walking distance or a few minute drive.)

1-2pm - Demo

2-4pm - Paint

4-5pm - Critiques, questions, and closing

Jerrod Partridge is a full-time artist and instructor living and working in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He has work currently on view at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art in a collaborative exhibition titled Written in the Sand | Plein Air Painters of Horn Island. Jerrod earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the New York Academy of Art in 2004. During his undergraduate years studying graphic design at Mississippi College he also spent a semester in London, England studying art history.  Jerrod is a 2011-2012 recipient of a Visual Arts Fellowship from the Mississippi Arts Commission, and was named distinguished Alumnus of the Year for the Mississippi College Department of Art in 2017.
