Family Birdwatching with Dr. Mark Woodrey

Join us on Saturday, March 1 from 8AM -12Pm for WAMA's first family birdwatching! Participants will be introduced to birdwatching with Dr. Mark Woodrey, an ornithologist from Mississippi State University. After a short classroom session, we'll take a walk from the museum grounds to Front Beach to explore new skills and find birds! Walking shoes and water are recommended. The walk is 2 miles round trip, with multiple stopping points and a midway sitting break on the beach. What's Needed? Bring your own binoculars . A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow.
