Building the Future Design Camp | Ages 8-12 Summer Camp

Campers will draw inspiration from Walter Anderson’s work and the surrounding environment to help us design the new spaces for the Creative Complex. Students will interface and learn from architects and landscape architects, create models and conceptual drawings, and learn about how the built environment and the natural landscape interact. ABOUT THE CREATIVE COMPLEX:

The Creative Complex is a transformational 15,000 square-foot campus expansion that builds upon the Anderson legacy to address the challenges and opportunities of a 21st century world. Located directly across the street from the Museum’s main building, the multi-phase development includes: the renovation and preservation of an historic property built in the 1890s; new construction to empower creative economy and cross-sector education in partnership with scientists, chefs, engineers, and contemporary makers; and a public greenspace and gardens for leisure, contemplation, community gatherings, and tourism events.
