WAMA’s Permanent Collection of over 800 works by the Anderson artists is growing rapidly due to the establishment of the Jo Love Little Acquisition Fund. The Permanent Collection also includes watercolors, drawings in pencil, ink and crayon, ceramics, sculpture in wood, linoleum block prints, oil paintings and furniture by Walter Anderson. The Permanent Collection also contains examples of works by Walter Anderson’s brothers Mac Anderson, noted painter and ceramic artist, and Peter Anderson, founder of Shearwater Pottery.

WAMA is currently in the process of creating a digitized image and text database of the Permanent Collection. Each year works are donated to the Museum’s Permanent Collection by private collectors. If you are interested in donating a work to the Permanent Collection, please contact Gayle Petty-Johnson, Executive Director, 228-872-3164 ext 103 or director@walterandersonmuseum.org

Most of the works shown measure 8 1/2" x 11" and are by Walter Anderson.
